 Zoey Tess' debut album, "There’s Gonna Be a Reckoning", released on March 27, 2026, is a bold artistic and political statement.

Recorded at The Clubhouse Studio in Rhinebeck, New York, the album includes collaborations with Mario J. McNulty, Spencer Hattendorf, Paul Antonell, Dave Eggar, and Chris Gehringer.

Drawing from the protest music of the ’60s and ‘70s, the seven-song collection is unsparing and timely, confronting authoritarianism, religious hypocrisy, and societal inequality.

The Fault Line Sessions (Live From Clubhouse Studio)

The Fault Line Sessions is a six-track collection that strips away the studio electricity to reveal the bare architecture of Tess’s songwriting. Recorded in the hallowed, wood-paneled rooms of The Clubhouse in Rhinebeck, NY, this project was born from a desire to leave the lyrics laid bare and impossible to ignore. 

The music is anchored by four original tracks that serve as a modern protest in four parts. The journey begins with "There’s Gonna Be a Reckoning," a cinematic tale of Mother Earth finally pushed to her limit by capitalistic greed and environmental destruction. It is followed by the timely and direct "Knocking at Your Front Door," which takes aim at systemic cruelty and the hollow "thoughts and prayers" of a distracted Congress. The perspective then shifts to "You Just Missed Him," a poignant examination of religious hypocrisy that challenges us to find divinity in the marginalized and the displaced. The original set concludes with a solo-piano rendition of "Stable Ground," a haunting reflection on a nation built upon stolen land and buried secrets.

To close the session, Tess pays homage to the folk lineage that informs her creative DNA with two Bob Dylan staples. Her piano-led version of "Farewell, Angelina" nods to the iconic Joan Baez interpretation, while "Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right" serves as a poignant finale.

Zoey Tess is an American singer-songwriter and pianist known for her blend of Americana, folk, and alternative rock. Her debut studio album, There's Gonna Be a Reckoning (2026), established her as a distinctive voice in the modern folk landscape, followed by the intimate live series 'The Fault Line Sessions'.

Tess, a classically trained musician, studied piano, violin, and voice as a teenager. She attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts for musical theatre and briefly Berklee College of Music before leaving to pursue her career independently.

On March 27, 2026, Zoey Tess released her debut album There’s Gonna Be a Reckoning. Recorded at Clubhouse Studio, the 7-song record was produced by Spencer Hattendorf, mixed by Grammy-Award winning engineer Mario J. McNulty, and mastered by Grammy-Award winner Chris Gehringer (Sterling Sound). It features contributions from Grammy nominated cellist Dave Eggar and Clubhouse Studio owner, producer and engineer Paul Antonell. 

Tess follows the record with The Fault Line Sessions (Live from Clubhouse Studio), a live, acoustic version of the album featuring herself on piano with a string quartet, including cellist Tiger Darrow. The album is accompanied by performance videos, available exclusively on Apple Music.
