Zoey Tess (born January 1st, 1993) is an accomplished American pop songstress and composer, known for her larger-than-life musical compositions. Born in the vibrant city of Coral Springs, Florida, Tess began her musical journey at a tender age of twelve. She comes from a lineage of talent, with her aunt being the legendary film and television actress Corinne Camacho.
Raised in Newtown, Connecticut, Tess was exposed to the world of music from an early age. Her father, Joseph "Joe" Loglisci, a former baseball player and Major League Baseball scout for the Miami Marlins, and her mother, Bonnie Alletto Loglisci, a former ballet dancer, nurtured her passion for the arts. Tess has two talented older brothers, Patrick Loglisci, known as the hip-hop artist Pasquale Leone, and Sean Kravit, a producer of ambient music and a DJ who uses the pseudonym Great Ghost.
Tess's childhood was marked by her family's nomadic lifestyle, starting in South Florida and eventually moving around Connecticut, including Newtown, and finally settling in Southbury. At the age of four she started studying piano and showcased her musical prowess through recitals and performances in Connecticut and New York. Alongside piano, she also learned violin and classical voice, exploring her diverse talents. As a young aspiring artist, Tess dabbled in various acting and dance genres, aspiring to become a Broadway performer. She began studying voice in middle school under the guidance of Cynthia Servetas, an opera singer and graduate of the Manhattan School of Music. Tess later studied voice with Marko Lampas, a protege of renowned opera-singer Maria Callas and a graduate of The Juilliard School in Manhattan.
In pursuit of her artistic dreams, Tess earned a place at the prestigious Interlochen Center for the Arts during her transition from eighth grade to freshman year of high school. There she participated in Interlochen's intensive musical theatre summer program, immersing herself in private lessons as well as ensemble classes, for singing, acting, and dance. This experience solidified her commitment to her craft and paved the way for her future success.
Education played a significant role in shaping Tess's artistic abilities. She attended St. Jude Catholic School in Monroe, Connecticut, during her elementary years. Later she became a student at Long Meadow Elementary School and Memorial Middle School in Middlebury, Connecticut. For her freshman year of high school, Tess enrolled at Rumsey Hall, a prestigious co-ed school in Washington, Connecticut. She later attended Pomperaug High School in Southbury, Connecticut. As she progressed through high school, she continued her education through homeschooling and online studies at The Keystone School, allowing her to focus on her musical career.
Tess's professional journey took flight during her middle school years when she began writing music alongside songwriter Christy Thompson and recording at Moomba Studios in Connecticut, under the guidance of music producer Michael Patzig. In 2017, she embarked on a fruitful collaboration with record producer Vic Steffens of Horizon Music Group, known for his work with renowned artists such as The Rolling Stones, Harry Connick Jr, and Donovan. Tess's dedication and talent earned her an internship at Horizon Music Group, eventually leading to a brief signing with the label's subsidiary of Sony Records. In 2019, she worked with producer and multi-instrumentalist Jake Siberon, who played a crucial role in shaping her 2023 single "Human Nature." Additionally, Tess wrote and produced her hit single "Turn Me Up."
Tess draws inspiration from her late aunt, Corinne Camacho, a prominent television actress. Camacho, known for her roles in beloved shows like "Little House on the Prairie," "Days of Our Lives," and "The Bionic Woman," had a remarkable career spanning over four decades. Growing up, Tess witnessed her aunt's grace, talent, and generosity, which deeply influenced her own artistic path. Camacho's classical piano training at The Conservatory of Music and Arts in New Jersey left a lasting impression on Tess, fueling her ambition to achieve similar heights of success.
Tess's passion for songwriting extends beyond her personal projects. She finds joy in composing music for other artists and bands, exploring diverse sounds and styles. Drawing inspiration from her favorite artists, Tess's unique background spanning various genres adds a distinctive touch to her compositions. She is now curating an impressive catalog of larger-than-life music for film and television soundtracks.
Tess released her third single of 2023, titled "In These Dreams" on August 18th, which has already garnered worldwide attention and praise. The larger-than-life pop ballad features orchestral arrangements and other live instruments, creating a sound that has been largely absent from today's music. Tess composed "In These Dreams" on her own, and later co-produced the track with Jake Siberon. Grammy Award-Winning record producer and audio engineer Mario McNulty (Prince, David Bowie, WILLOW) was tasked with mixing "In These Dreams", bringing the track to another level. The track is poised to be Zoey Tess's most successful song to date, and is sure to establish Tess as a force to be reckoned with in the music world.
